The department Chemical Processes and Pharmaceuticals is now looking for a synthetic chemist within bioeconomy, industrial chemistry, and pharmaceuticals.

About the role
Within the department, we work oncommercial and grant funded research, development projects and perform research in areas such as chemical process development/scaling-up, pharmaceutical chemistry, formulation, and analytical chemistry. A key focus is developing new products from renewable raw materials and reducing environmental impact through process efficiency. We use our unique expertise to solve problems and develop processes in close collaboration with our customers, ranging from small businesses to multinational industries.
Work is primarily conducted in multidisciplinary project teams, with a high degree of personal responsibility for deliverables. As a synthetic chemist you will work on a wide range of questions related to organic chemistry, within both customer and research projects. Participating in networks, identifying business opportunities, writing research proposals, and leading projects are natural parts of the role.

You will lead and participate in proposal writing for research funding for future projects and initiatives. Requirements
· PhD in organic synthetic chemistry
· Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
Merits
· A few years of work experience, or a completed post-doc in below mentioned technical fields
· Experience in bulk chemistry, fine chemistry, electrochemistry, physical and analytical organic chemistry, and/or calorimetry
· Experience in peptide chemistry, oligonucleotides synthesis and/or conjugation chemistry
· Experience in process scale-up and/or large-scale manufacturing
· Experience from GMP quality system
· Swedish language skills, spoken and written
